Okay, if you don't LARP, you have no idea why anyone would possible need these details about thrift stores.  If you do LARP, then you know how nifty it is to find some of the props and costumes that you either can't or don't want to make yourself.   If you're a player in Shattered Isles and you know other thrift stores not listed here, then please email me at quiet@darklings.org and give me details to include so others will be able to share and enjoy.  You might want to call the stores to verify things like opening hours, as sometimes they might change since the last time visited.

Name: Junior Leage Nearly New Thrift Shop

Hours: Monday - Saturday 10-8, Sunday 12-5
Address: 2581 Piedmont Road, Atlanta GA
Directions: The phone system has a list of directions if you can plug through automatic systems with any success.  I took Buford Highway north from midtown to take a left on Sidney Marcus, then turned left at the Quick Trip into the parking lot.
Prices: Moderate to high, with some sales
Stock: Mostly clothes, very few props, some jewelry, no belts or purses to mention

Comments: Not a great selection for LARP needs.  I was there looking for shirts, and most of the ones I looked at were five or six dollars.  Still, it's convenient to Midtown for a check and they accept credit cards.

Directions: From Buford Highway going north from Midtown, I turned left on Sidney Marcus.  The Thift House is on the left, across from Buckhead Crossing shopping plazza.
Prices: Moderate with some sales
Stock: Mostly clothes, very few props or jewelry

Comments: The sale I caught was excellent (40% off everything) but I don't know how common their sales are at the store.  The staff was very friendly, even when lines backed up.  They accept credit cards.

Address: 2555 Bolton Road, Atlanta, GA
Directions: From 75 North, take exit 106.  Take a right on Moores Mill Road and go until it dead-ends at Bolton Road.  The store is right across the street.
Prices: Good to moderate.
Stock: Wide range of clothing and props, including hats, belts, purses, knick-nacks, and lots of clothing and shoes.

Comments: The area of town isn't great, but the store is big and brightly-lit.   There's a very good selection at very reasonable prices, and even some really nice things like electronics and furniture that appeared donated.  They also accept credit cards.
