MONTOR CITY
Geography & General Features
Like Corinth, Montor is a city divided by the river. Unlike Corinth, Montor sits on the seacoast, and was a center of distant trade before the Forsaking.
Notable Inhabitants
???
Montor is said to have been united post-Forsaking under the leadership of the former Captain of the Guard. Unfortunately, I know little of him at present.
History
Uncertain.
Stories of Note
According to a group of halfling refugees we encountered near Miles, halflings in Montor (and perhaps other small demihumans?) have been forced into work camps and are being used as an involuntary labor force. The city leader is said to have asserted his authority on the grounds of the need for 'law and order', and singled out the halflings as untrustworthy and shiftless. It sounds rather as though he has used them as a scapegoat for the troubles of the Forsaking. However, I am forced to note that my only source for this story was himself a halfling, so there is no telling how objective the report actually was.
Trade has been established between Montor and Cleven, with caravans travelling overland between the two cities via Miles.
