HYRULE TOWNSHIP
Geography & General Features
As a tributary village of Corinth, Hyrule was not an especially prominent community before the Forsaking. Its favorable position along the river gives it certain advantages over others in terms of trade and water supply, making it among the larger of the villages in Corinth's sphere of influence, but from the perspective of my companions, it is of interest to us mainly because most of us were born there.
Notable Inhabitants
Raela Blessed
The Blessed family have long been devotees of Pelor, and their frequent place in the in the clergy also makes them one of the leading families of the village. Though Raela has no access to divine magic, she still uses her education as the healer and historian for the community. Naturally, she's part of the village council.
Edwin Hammock
Edwin is a farmer and a shepherd, and is the council member who speaks for the interests of the agricultural side of the community.
Camaille Weaver
As her name suggests, Camaille is a weaver. On the council, she speaks for the craftspeople.
Stommel
Stommel is the captain of the village militia, and a member of the council.
Joseph Talbot
My father, the village innkeeper, has also acted as the community quartermaster since the Forsaking.
History
In the wake of the Forsaking, communities of Hyrule's size either vanished or grew, as the survivors gathered together into a smaller number of better-defended settlements. Hyrule is one of those that survived. The river, however, did not - it went dry in the Forsaking. When we were able to persuade Dryan to restore the river to its old bed, the prospects of the village were further reinforced, but in truth I think that its success has rested primarily on the collective efforts of the residents and the way they've come together to support each other.
I should write more here. Update it, perhaps. But... it's hard to find words. What can I say about a home that's told me I'm not welcome to return?
