The Fey Realm
Geography & General Features
Unsurprisingly, for a realm occupied by the Fey, the vast majority of this land is covered in forest. So far as we experienced, the sylvan expanse may fill the entirety of the realm. The region we found ourselves in was called the 'Ceiling Forest', and it did indeed form an unbroken roof of foliage overhead. Our destination was Moon Lake, near the Diamond Falls.

I was left with the impression that this was not the true home realm of the Fey, but an intermediate waystation of some sort. Though in truth, I am not certain that there actually exists a single 'true' Realm of Faerie. Perhaps fragments like this one exist on their own, scattered about and with a loose sort of similarity to each other.

In addition to the physical geography, the realm possesses an interesting magical feature...spells in general seem to be more powerful within this realm. I do not know if that is because the sources of power are more accessible, or if the realm itself is simply easier to manipulate.

Additionally, let me hasten to note the primary danger of this realm: the internal passage of time is at great variance with that of home. A full year and a day passed to the outside world during our brief foray within. Travellers beware.

Notable Inhabitants
The Bladesong
Elven in appearance, by and large, the Bladesong seemed to be something akin to the local sheriff - a protector of the local denizens and a guardian of law and order, such as it was in the forested wilderness.
The Sirine
She seemed far more playful - in an almost childlike way - than one frequently hears such creatures portrayed in tales. It was difficulty to reconcile her with the seductive temptress of sailors' legends, leading men off to drown. On the other hand, however, her sense of play did not seem to admit much concern or awareness of the limits or needs of mortals. I think it entirely possible that she might lead a visitor into a 'game' that proved dangerous or fatal, without intending anything malicious by it. The unfortunate playmate would, of course, still remain dead and little consoled by the absence of spite in the course of events.
History
The entire realm had the sort of timeless feeling that makes the entire idea of a 'history' of the place seem inappropriate. A combination, I think, of the wildness of the entire area and the heedlessness of the majority of the residents.
Stories of Note
At the same time Varansulmor stumbled into this small realm, another creature also passed through from the outside - though presumably through a different portal. It was a massive, sluglike bulk of white, undead flesh. It remains most notable in my memory for its regurgitation of animated skeletons, though it possessed several other habits of a similarly appetizing nature.
